KSC Pine Rivers
Pine Rivers Branch of the Knights of the Southern Cross
The Pine Rivers Branch of the Southern Cross is a body of Catholic men who meet regularly to support each other in our Christian faith.
We also raise funds through a number of activities to support local charities such as Saint Vincent de Paul and regularly prepare breakfasts after Sunday Mass.
The branch covers the parishes of Our Lady of the Way Petrie and Holy Spirit Bray Park. Catholic men who are not part of those parishes are also welcome.
The Pine Rivers branch is part of the Knights of the Southern Cross Queensland which is affiliated with the Knights of Southern Cross Australia. The Australian Knights have existed for over a hundred years and are part of an international movement for Catholic men.

Objects of the Order
The five principal objects of the Order are:
- To promote the advancement of Australia.
- To foster the Christian way of life throughout the Nation.
- To promote the welfare of its members and their families.
- To encourage spiritual, social and intellectual activities amongst its members.
- To conduct and support educational, charitable, religious and social welfare work.
What We Do
The Pine Rivers Knights are men of action. Rooted in faith and moved by compassion, we roll up our sleeves and make a practical difference in the lives of those around us.
We assist with the implementation of projects in local parishes — from working bees and fundraising to supporting parish events and initiatives that strengthen our communities.
We are also committed to the care of the most vulnerable among us. We support and assist the aged and infirm, bringing companionship and practical help to those who need it most. And we invest in the future of our Church by encouraging and supporting our young people in their faith.

Meetings
We meet the first Monday of the month at 7:30pm:
At our meetings we have what is called a Formation segment led by one of our members and which focusses on the gospel for the following Sunday's Mass.
We aim to have a mass said preceding two of our meetings each year. At the end of each meeting a short social gathering takes place.
