Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process through which adults are welcomed into full membership of the Catholic Church. It is a journey of faith, reflection and community, guided by the parish and accompanied by sponsors from our congregation.
The programme is open to:
  • Unbaptised adults who are exploring the Catholic faith and wish to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
  • Baptised adults from other Christian denominations who wish to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church.
  • Baptised Catholics who have not yet completed their initiation (i.e. have not received Confirmation or First Communion).
The Journey
RCIA unfolds over several months and is structured around periods of inquiry, formation and celebration. Participants gather regularly with the parish community to explore the Scriptures, the teachings of the Church, prayer and the sacramental life. The journey concludes with the reception of the Sacraments, typically at the Easter Vigil.
How to Participate
If you or someone you know is interested in joining the RCIA programme, please contact the Parish Office. We warmly welcome anyone who is curious about the Catholic faith — there is no obligation, and enquiries are always welcome.
